The former "Hospedería de la Guardia Civil" was the traditional system used by many accommodations to register their guests, sending reports to local police stations or through regional platforms. This system is now obsolete.

Currently, traveler registration is done through the new centralized state system called SES.Hospedajes, managed by the Ministry of the Interior and mandatory since the entry into force of Royal Decree 933/2021.

With SES.Hospedajes, all data must be sent electronically within a maximum of 24 hours, and the process is fully unified nationwide.
