The credentials of the communication service:
What are they and how to get them

For your traveler parts to send themselves to the Ministry of the Interior, you need three data that the Ministry itself gives you free when registering in SES.Hospedajes. Here we tell you what they are, what they are for and where to find them, with the same steps that you will see on their website.

What is the communication service?

It is the "automatic window" of SES. Accommodations: A web service of the Ministry of the Interior that allows sending communications of travelers automatically, without entering every day to fill out forms. Our platform uses it on your behalf —that's why you need your credentials— and also allows you to consult what has been sent and canceled communications if necessary.

Without the web service

Each entry, one form.

You enter the Ministry's website, you put a username and password, type in the data of each guest one by one and give them to send. Every day, with each check-in, within the legal term.

If you miss a day, the part does not show up.

with the web service

Your parts travel alone.

You save your credentials only once in your hosting panel and, from there, each part of travelers is automatically sent to the Ministry, with acknowledgment and registration of each shipment.

You just look at the traffic light: green, all presented.

The three facts you need

All are issued by the Ministry when registering in SES. Accommodations. Without any of the three, automatic shipping cannot work: they are the key that identifies who is sending and why.

1 Lesser code

Identify your entity (you or your company) in the ministry system. You will also see it called "Registered Entity Code".

2 · Web service username and password

some credentials specific for automatic shipping. The user is your NIF/NIE ending in WS And the password is different from the one you use to enter the Ministry's website.

A code for each accommodation you register. Indicates which establishment each part of travelers that is sent belongs to.

✅ The box that changes everything

The Ministry only generates the credentials of the web service if you check the box Sending communications by web service in your SES.Hospedajes record. Without that checked box, they don't exist: no matter how much you search, you won't find any finished user in WS.

When you mark it, it will also ask you for a Notifications email: There the ministry will notify you if any communication sent contains errors. Put an email you really check.

This box is correct whether you connect your own program or use an intermediary that you send in your name —which is exactly what makes you host to you—. You can only leave it unchecked if you plan to type all the parts by hand on the ministry's website.

How to get them, depending on your case

There are two possible situations. Both end up the same: with your web service credentials ready to paste into your hosting panel.

case A

I have not yet registered in SES. Accommodations

  1. enters the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior and accesses the procedure of Registry of Establishments and Entities of SES. Accommodations. You will need digital certificate, DNIe or Cl@ve.
  2. Fill out the registration form with your details and those of your accommodations.
  3. In the form, Check the “Web Service Submission” box and enter the email where you want to receive the error notices.
  4. Send the record. In a few minutes you will receive an email with all your data, web service credentials included.

Registration is free and is done only once.

I'm already registered, but without the box checked

  1. Enter SES. Hospedajes through the link “Access to the Registry of Establishments and Entities”, with the same certificate or user with which you registered.
  2. Select the option "My registered data".
  3. Check the box “Web service communications” and enter an email for error notifications.
  4. Click "Save". A new option, "Communication Service", will appear on the home page, where you can see your username and password.

You can activate it at any time; No need to re-register anything.

Save this email: they are your keys

At the end of the registration, the Ministry sends you an automatic email with the confirmation and all your data. The three that interest us are the LESSOR CODE, the Codes of your establishments and the Web service username and password.

Can't find the email? Nothing happens: all that data can be consulted whenever you want within SES. Hospedajes, in the options "My registered data" y "Communication Service". We show it to you just below.

If you already have the box checked but you don't remember your credentials, so you recover them in a minute from the ministry's own website.

Access the system

Enter through the "Access to the Registry of Establishments and Entities" link of SES.Hospedajes.

Select your entity from the list. If you only have one registered, it will already be selected.

Frequently asked questions

The doubts that come to us the most about the credentials of the communication service.

How is the web service user different from my normal user?

They are two different things. With your normal user (your ID/NIE) you enter you On the SES.hospedajes website. The user of the web service —the one that ends in WS— It is the one used by the programs, such as hostages, to send communications on your behalf.

Each has its own password. For automatic sending we need the one ending in WS.

Do web service passwords expire?

No, they don't expire. Even so, the Ministry itself recommends changing them from time to time for security. If you change it, remember to update it also in your hosting settings, or shipments will start to fail.

I can't find the "communication service" option in SES. Accommodations

That option only appears if you have the “Web Service Submissions” box checked. If you don't see it, go to "My registered data", check the box, add the notification email and save: the option will appear on the home page.

I forgot the password of the web service, what do I do?

Go to SES.Hospedajes, go to “Communication Service”, select your entity and use the Modify Password button that appears on the form. Then, update the new password in your Seshospedajes settings.

If the ministry has blocked the user for several failed attempts, you will have to reset the password right there before continuing to send.

Do I have to check the box if I communicate the parts by hand?

If you are really going to type all the communications in the Ministry form (or upload them by massive file registration), it is not necessary to mark it.

But if you want to send them automatically —which is the grace of all this—, the box is mandatory: without it there are no credentials that the platform needs.

Where do I find my establishment codes?

They arrive in the registration confirmation email and you can consult them whenever you want at SES. Hospedajes, in the option «My registered data». Each accommodation you register has its own code.

What's that batch code and communication code?

They are numbers that the ministry returns with each submission, not credentials. The Batch code Identifies each sending request (a group of communications); When the Ministry processes and accepts each communication, it also assigns a communication code only, which is the one used to cancel it if necessary.

The good news: You don't have to write them down. Seshospedajes automatically saves them with each shipment.
