If your accommodation is in Catalonia, the traveler's parties do not contact the Ministry of the Interior. They communicate to the General Directorate of the Police —the Mossos d'Esquadra— through the Communications Platform Recurrents of the company channel of the Generalitat. It is another system, with another high and other credentials: those of SES. Accommodations do not serve there.
Many owners do not know, and it is one of the things that are only discovered when the problem arrives. Starting today, SES.hospedajes has its place for it. And it has it in your language.
Why the parts of travelers in Catalonia do not go to the Ministry
Royal Decree 933/2021 requires communicating the data of travelers, but does not say to whom in all communities equally. In Catalonia the competition is from the Police of the Generalitat - Mossos d'Esquadra, and this is collected by the official communication to the lodging and vehicle rental sector.
The practical consequence is simple and has two faces. If you try to communicate a Catalan accommodation to SES. Accommodations, they reject it because your establishment is not registered there. And if you don't communicate to the Mossos, you are not complying, even if the part is saved somewhere.
What is the communications platform Recurrents
It is the channel through which the Generalitat receives the recurring communications from the sector: parts of lodging passengers and vehicle rental contracts. It is processed in the company channel and allows two ways: fill out a web form case by case, or communicate en masse Via API, which is what allows your management application to do it alone.
The two procedures of the company channel: PIN and ID company
Before setting anything, two highs are needed, and in this order:
- Register d'activitats rellevants. They return the NIP of each accommodation: one for each property or office. Be careful, because many people are wrong here: The establishment code you have of the ministry is not valid. They are different numbers from different administrations.
- Registration to the communications platform Recurrents, choosing the way API. They return the ID COMPANY: One for the whole company, not one for accommodation.
When ordering the API path is when they deliver the technical documentation and the test environment.
The INE code of the municipality is not the postal code
It is a small detail that causes chain rejections. The INE code There are five figures: two of the province and three of the municipality. Barcelona is 08019, Girona 17079, Lleida 25120 and Tarragona 43148. It is not the zip code, and confusing them is the same mistake that has already cost time with the Ministry —Madrid is 28079 in the INE and 28013 in Correos—.
In seshospedajes.es the format is validated when you save it, so if you make a mistake, it tells you there and not when the parts bounce.
What can you leave configured today on our platform
In Configuration you have a new section, «Catalonia · Mossos d'Esquadra». There you can:
- Indicate that your accommodations communicate to the Mossos, for the entire account or one by one if you have properties inside and outside of Catalonia.
- Upload your digital certificate. It is checked when you upload it that it opens, that it has a private key, that it has not expired and that the NIF it contains is yours.
- Save your company ID, and the PIN and the INE code of each accommodation.
- Check the connection whenever you want, without sending any data from any guest.
- See when your certificate expires, and receive notice before it passes.
Your digital certificate is your identity before the administration, so it is saved as it deserves: outside the reach of the web, with the encrypted password and with the encryption key outside the database. That password does not go back to any screen, not even masked. And if you upload a new one, the old one is deleted.
The entire application, in Catalan
Not a screen or a menu: the entire application. The panel, the input screen, the emails you receive, the pre-check-in form that opens your guest on your mobile, the emails that reach it, the QR code page and the public mini-web of your accommodation. More than 2,500 texts, translated one by one.
You can change the language of your account whenever you want from Settings. And the language of your guest is yours, not yours: the pre-check-in form is in eleven languages and each traveler chooses the one who understands.
At what point is the automatic sending to the Mossos
We are in beta, and we prefer to say it. Automatic communication with the Generalitat is built and tested, but not yet open: the definitive credentials and technical documentation are missing when processing the API way. Meanwhile, the parts of your accommodations in Catalonia are saved in the app but They are not communicated to any administration. If you need to comply now, do it through the web form of the company channel. We will notify you as soon as it starts to send itself, and you will not have to reconfigure anything.
We prefer that you know that you assume it. Sending passport details of a traveler to an unconfirmed site would be worse than not sending them: you would not comply with the same, and also you would have given it to someone.
Car rental: contracts also go to the Mossos
If you rent cars, the RD 933/2021 also reaches you, and in Catalonia on the same channel. In SES.hospedajes it is built the same and uses the same certificate and the same configuration: You don't have to give anything twice.
The rent is not a loose part, it is a sequence —high of the vehicle, registration of the drivers, contract, party, companions and closure— and it is resolved entirely, with retries that continue where they stayed instead of duplicating contracts. It goes at the same rate as the lodging: as soon as the channel opens, it opens for both of us.
